Google Analytics for Keyword Research

Why Do Keyword Research?

Keyword Research is the foundation of any great Search Engine Optimization campaign.

  • There’s no point in optimizing for key words that have few searches. In doing SEO for the last 10 years, we have seen many e-commerce store owners wanting to optimize for a term that has very few searches.
    • With some simple keyword research, we were able to guide them toward more highly searched terms, increasing the value of the optimization, making the investment in SEO worth it.
  • You also do not want to optimize for a term that has unbeatable competition, even though the search volume is very high.
    • It’s near impossible, and not worth the investment to try to compete against companies like Walmart, Home Depot, etc.
    • Keyword Research can help you find terms that still have a high search volume, yet the competition is not as insurmountable.
